Today's the day, the contest ends!
Winners:

Prize: Full-body drawing, no BG
Arguably the most original idea among the others, also the funniest!
2nd place: 
Prize: Half-body drawing, no BG
I really liked the soft-shading here, blends well with the character and the simple background.
3rd place: 
Prize: Portrait
Even though this entry wasn't the best in terms of technique, i appreciated that he tried his best both in the drawing and in reinterpreting something that already exists.

Hey everyone! Due to recent activities, i gained a few more watchers and so i decided to open my first contest here on dA!

CONTEST TIME!!
QUICK UPDATE
I (probably) won't be able to check dA again until tomorrow (because reasons), or maybe until the 13rd, so i'll extend the contest time to the 13rd November!Being my first contest, i'll set up basic prizes for the 3 higher rankings, increasing the consistency of these prizes in case we reach a good amount of participants! But let's talk about the theme first.
That's why i want YOU to change my mind on this!
To make the contest friendly to any user, and also considering the large amount of younger people here on dA, i chose a few blonde characters that i like within the "mainstream" pop-culture universe. They'd be:
- Roxas, from Kingdom Hearts
- Ezreal, from League of Legends
- Sanji, from One Piece
- Rikku, from Final Fantasy X
- Eikichi, from GTO
You can find tons of reference images for these characters on Google
Now, i want you to reimagine these characters in the most original way you can come up with. You don't have to respect their nature, i don't want you to think that the character you draw is drawn "correctly", you can do anything you want, just impress me! Use a comic situation to make a boring character into a funny one, imagine them in a different historical time, use colour to send a certain feeling to the viewer, whatever your mind comes up with: i want you to be CREATIVE while being "restricted" by drawing a character that already exists.
I will "judge" the drawings not on technical skill, but on the idea behind them so don't be afraid of joining the contest if you're a beginner! (because even i am one)
Prizes AND winners will be eventually increased once we get more entries!
